John Craigie, Friday, February 21!

Hello Music Lovers,

We truly cherish the opportunity to share music with you.  We love sharing artist that you already know and love.  We also like to introduce you to folks you may not know yet, knowing that you will add them to your list of favorites.

That my be the state of affairs with John Craigie.  We first heard John at the Sisters Folk Festival in September of last year.  Our first encounter happened when he joined the Shook Twins on stage for a cameo appearance with them.  He almost stole their show.
John considers himself to be in a line that leads from Kris Kristofferson to John Prine to Todd Snyder to himself.  He even has a song about the time he ALMOST stole some weed from Todd Snyder.  He is full of fun, funny and more serious songs.  His on stage banter is hilarious.

The show will be Friday, February 21st starting at 7:30 pm here at Doverlaff House Concerts, 7326 SE Woodward St. Portland, 97206.  We suggest a $15 donation per seat. We will have the usual free snacks for the audience and beer and wine will be available as usual and we suggest a small donation for those.  Seats are on a first donation. first secured basis.  Seats may be available at the door but only if advance donations do not secure them all.  We already have several reservations for this show so you should act fast if you decide you want to see John here.

Santa says his  “acoustic performances blend sharp observations with gentle wit.”

Aaron Tsuru of says “one of the most entertaining performers I’ve seen.”

Of course,  John is one of those artists who is better live.  To find out how much better, come see him here.  We will have a short opening set by someone yet to be determined.
Remember, we still have a couple more shows this season (maybe more.)  We host Cosy Sheridan on Saturday, April 19 and the incredible David Francey on Monday, May 5.  Look for more on these shows as the dates get nearer.

Looking forward to seeing you here,

Chery and Dan
